02What this Website actually uses
We checked the Website’s source code and its behaviour in a browser. The result, as of the “Last updated” date above:
- The Website does not set any cookies.
- It does not use session storage, and does not load analytics, advertising, social media, chat, tag-manager, video or other third-party scripts or pixels. This means there are no third-party cookies.
- Page fonts are downloaded when we build the Website and served from our own domain, so your browser does not contact a font provider.
- It stores one item in your browser’s local storage: a record of your cookie choices.
Links to other sites (for example Chunkmint.dev) leave this Website; those sites may use their own cookies and have their own policies.
03Cookie and storage inventory
| Name | Type | Provider | Purpose | Category | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
chunk-cookie-consent | Local storage | Chunk Technologies LLC (first party) | Remembers your cookie choices so we do not ask again on every page and can prove what you chose. | Strictly necessary | Kept in your browser until you clear it or change your choice. We treat a saved choice as expired after 12 months and ask again. |
This is the complete list. Because no other cookies or storage are in use, there are no third-party cookies and no cookies to list under the functional, analytics or marketing categories.
04Categories of cookies
| Category | What it is | Consent needed? | In use here? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Needed to deliver a service you requested or to transmit a communication, such as remembering your consent choices, security or load balancing. | No. Exempt under Art. 5(3) ePrivacy and Art. 399 Polish Electronic Communications Law. | Yes: only the cookie-choice record. |
| Functional | Remember choices you make, such as language or layout, to give you a more personal experience. | Yes, unless strictly necessary for a feature you asked for. | No. |
| Analytics | Measure visits and usage so we can improve the Website. | Yes, in the EU/EEA and the UK in general. | No. |
| Marketing | Build profiles or show and measure advertising across websites. | Yes. | No. |
| Third-party providers | Cookies or scripts set by organizations other than us, such as an analytics or advertising provider. | Yes, unless strictly necessary. | No third-party providers are used. |
05How we obtain consent
Consent for anything other than strictly necessary storage must be freely given, specific, informed and unambiguous, given by a clear affirmative action (GDPR Article 4(11) and Article 7, and Article 400 of the Polish Electronic Communications Law, which refers to the GDPR standard). In practice:
- On your first visit a dialog offers Accept All, Reject All and Customize Preferences. Accept All and Reject All are equally easy to use.
- Categories are off by default. Nothing optional is switched on until you choose it, and scrolling, continuing to browse or closing the dialog is not consent.
- If you choose Customize Preferences, you can switch each category on or off and confirm with Save Preferences.
- Non-essential scripts, if ever added, must be blocked until the matching consent exists. The Website’s code exposes a consent check for this purpose.
- We keep a record of your choice (choice and time) in your browser, and ask again after 12 months or if our use of cookies materially changes.
Today, no optional category has any technology behind it. The choices are in place so that your preferences are honoured from the first day any such technology is introduced, and this policy and the inventory above will be updated before then.
06Changing or withdrawing your consent
You can change or withdraw consent at any time, as easily as you gave it, using the Cookie settings link in the footer of every page, or the button above. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that happened before. Clearing your browser’s local storage for this site also deletes the saved choice, and we will ask again on your next visit.
07Managing cookies in your browser
You can also control cookies and local storage through your browser settings: most browsers let you view, block or delete cookies and site data, block third-party cookies, and clear data when you close the browser. The location of these settings differs by browser, so please look for “cookies” or “site data” in the help section of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge or the browser you use. Blocking all storage may stop the Website from remembering your choice, so you may be asked again.
Some browsers and extensions send a “Global Privacy Control” or “Do Not Track” signal. The Website sets no tracking technology that would be affected by such a signal.
08Legal framework
Chunk Technologies is established in the United States. We apply the EU and Polish rules because the Website is available to visitors in Poland and the European Union. The framework is: GDPR (Regulation (EU) 2016/679); the ePrivacy Directive (Directive 2002/58/EC), Article 5(3); Poland’s Electronic Communications Law (Prawo komunikacji elektronicznej), Articles 399–400; and, for US visitors, the FTC Act’s ban on unfair or deceptive practices, which requires that what we say here is accurate. Wyoming has no cookie-specific law.
09Keeping this policy accurate
We will update this policy and the inventory before adding any cookie, local-storage item, analytics tool or third-party script, and will obtain your consent first where the law requires it. The “Last updated” date shows the current version.
We plan to accept payments through Stripe. Stripe’s checkout may use its own cookies and similar technologies. Before any payment feature goes live, we will add them to the inventory above and explain them here.
